Matthew Sullivan
Matthew Sullivan (USA-born) began his artistic path in art school, focusing on photography (um, haha?) but found printmaking more satisfying. I came across him when he was having a studio clean-out event at which he was exchanging artworks for donations to his favorite charity. Not knowing much about Sullivan, I decided to follow up with a studio visit to share some of his work with you here.
All the work shown here are prints from etched copper plates. These open-editioned pieces (in contrast to limited edition) tend to have narrative content which my followers know I lean towards.
