If you want to buy art in Houston, you have to know about “Second Saturdays” at Winter/Spring/Silver Street Studios. Here you find artists committed to their craft to the level of renting studio space on a monthly basis. These are the artists seeking the ‘next level’. For collectors, it’s a gold mine (as long as you know what to look for).

Janavi Folmsbee is in that community. I haven’t known her work for long but what she has now I HAVE to share with you. There are four, 5′ square pieces in her studio that are spectacular. That’s not a word I use often, you know.
