The purpose of HALT713 is to link emerging collectors with emerging artists.

Because of my involvement in the art community, I know when and where there are opportunities to acquire high quality work without breaking the bank. If you have $50, I can help you find something great. If you have $500, we can still talk. And, if you have $1000 to spend, you’ll just have more options. If you’re ready for larger-ticket and I can help you too, of course. Houston is not lacking for collecting opportunities, you just have to know where to find them. That’s why I do this blog – to bring what I think is worthwhile talent to you (complete with pricing when I can).

I’m rather active in the Houston (visual) arts scene and enjoy making opportunities for artists either through my volunteer work for the Visual Arts Alliance (VAA), as an independent curator producing exhibits in various locations or just buying work. I am currently in my fourth term as president of VAA. I also create artwork which you can see here.
